Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Township Supervisor, this position performs a variety of routine unskilled and semi-skilled housekeeping work while maintaining the Township Administration Building, Town Hall, and Founders Activity Center in a clean and orderly fashion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all Township facilities.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms including porcelain fixtures, countertops, mirrors and bright metal.
- Empty, reline, and clean exterior of all trash receptacles.
- Sweep and wet mop all resilient floor surfaces, remove all scruffs and heel marks
- Vacuum all carpeted areas.
- Clean counter tops, windows, windowsills, window blinds, doors, office furniture, ceiling air vents, walls and baseboards.
- Clean and polish furniture.
- Clean and sanitize telephones, light switches, and door handles.
- Checks and maintains proper levels of all restroom supplies at each location.
- Monitors cleaning supplies and paper products; including toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap (leave notice of supplies needed).
- Clean microwaves, stoves and refrigerators monthly.
- Operate and properly maintain all tools and equipment needed to perform the essential job functions and responsibilities listed above while adhering to all safety rules and practices (leave notice of broken equipment).
- Perform any related duties as required.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of methods of cleaning and maintenance of Township office, building and facilities.
- Working knowledge of proper usage and handling of chemicals used for cleaning.
- Skilled in organization and time management to effectively perform job.
- Ability to carry out work assignments or instructions without immediate supervision.
- Ability to establish multiple assignment priorities.
- Ability to read labels and/or warning signs.
- Ability to read/comprehend reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

- Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience handling moderately heavy tools, equipment and supplies safely.
- Special Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain evening hours, including some nights and weekends.
- Must submit to a background check and drug screen.

- Hours will be 8 hours per week. Day choice and start time is flexible (Administration building to be cleaned after 4:00 p.m.). Additional hours will be available for monthly and yearly tasks and cleaning vacant apartments when the need arises.
- Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 Depending on experience.
