Grace Period Voting

All Early Voting locations offer Grace Period Registration for individuals who need to register to vote for the first time or to submit a change of address. To participate in Grace Period Registration, two forms of identification are required, one of which must show the voter’s current address. Those who participate in Grace Period Registration must cast their ballots at the same time they register.

Same Day Registration

New to the community? have you just moved within the Township, or have become newly eligible to vote? You may register at the Township Clerk’s Office, 14350 W 151st St Homer Glen IL, 60491.

Registration is open throughout the year except during the 27 days preceding an election (see General Registration).


General Registration Rules

* You must be a citizen of the State of Illinois
* Bring two forms of identification, one showing your full legal name and current address
* At least 18 years old by the next election (17 year old’s can register as long as his/her birthday is on or before the next election date).
* You must have lived in the voting precinct for 30 days by Election Day

Once registered a Voter’s ID card will be sent to your home address directly from the Will County Clerk’s Office. The card will list your current polling location. You may contact the Will County Clerk’s Office at (815) 740-4632 if you have any questions.


Vote by Mail


Vote By Mail Applications will be available in the Homer Township Clerk’s office and the Will County Clerk’s Office within the appropriate timeframe set forth by the Will County Clerk.

Vote by Mail is a safe and secure way for voters to complete their ballots in the privacy of their own homes. To receive a ballot through the mail, registered voters must first complete and submit a Vote by Mail Application.
